Iranian and Omani Foreign Ministers Hold Phone Consultation on Regional Tensions
WANA (May 23) – Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi held a telephone conversation with his Omani counterpart, Sayyid Badr Albusaidi, on Saturday morning to discuss the latest regional developments and ongoing diplomatic efforts.
During the call, the two top diplomats exchanged views on current trends and diplomatic initiatives aimed at preventing further escalation of tensions and bringing an end to conflicts in the region.
The conversation with Oman’s foreign minister is part of a broader, intensive diplomatic campaign by Tehran to address the fluid geopolitical situation. This contact follows a series of separate telephone discussions conducted by Araghchi on Friday evening with key regional leaders.
On Friday night, the Iranian foreign minister spoke individually with Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, Qatari Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, and Iraqi Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein.
Those high-level talks focused primarily on bilateral relations alongside the latest regional and international developments.
