Iranian and Omani Foreign Ministers Meet in Muscat
WANA (Nov 23) – The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran met with his Omani counterpart during a visit to Muscat, coinciding with his participation in the annual “Muscat Forum.”
According to reports, Seyed Abbas Araghchi met with Badr al-Busaidi, the Foreign Minister of Oman, on Sunday in the Omani capital. During the meeting, the two officials discussed bilateral relations and explored ways to expand cooperation in various fields, including economic and trade sectors. Both sides emphasized the importance of strengthening ties and continuing consultations on issues of mutual interest.
Regional developments were also a key part of the discussions. With reference to the situation in Gaza and the ongoing conflict in the region, the two ministers exchanged views on the implications of the crisis and its impact on regional security.
Araghchi also expressed appreciation for Oman’s efforts and initiatives regarding Iran’s nuclear file, outlining the latest developments related to the issue during the meeting.
The Iranian Foreign Minister had earlier arrived in Muscat at the head of a diplomatic delegation and is scheduled to present Iran’s perspectives on regional developments during the Muscat Forum.
