WANA (Apr 20) – Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi and Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Muhammad Ishaq Dar, held a telephone conversation today to discuss the latest regional developments.

 

The two top diplomats consulted on various regional issues, specifically focusing on matters related to the current ceasefire.

 

In a phone conversation held on Monday evening, Iran’s Foreign Minister and Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister discussed recent regional developments and issues related to the ceasefire.

 

During the call, Iran’s Foreign Minister expressed appreciation for Pakistan’s constructive efforts and mediation in the ceasefire negotiations.

 

He criticized what he described as provocative actions and repeated violations of the ceasefire by the United States, particularly threats and attacks against Iranian commercial vessels, as well as inconsistent positions and hostile rhetoric toward Iran.

 

He emphasized that such actions pose a serious obstacle to the continuation of the diplomatic process.

 

He further noted that the Islamic Republic of Iran will take all relevant factors into account in determining how to proceed, and that any decision regarding the future course will be made based on a comprehensive assessment.

 

At the conclusion of the conversation, the foreign ministers of Iran and Pakistan stressed the importance of continuing consultations and cooperation to help strengthen peace and stability in the region.
