WANA (Apr 13) – Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi and Qatari Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani held a telephone conversation on Monday evening.

 

The Iranian Foreign Minister detailed the latest regional developments, specifically the Iran-U.S. negotiations in Islamabad and the continued ceasefire violations by the Israeli regime in Lebanon.

 

Araghchi emphasized: “Just as the Islamic Republic of Iran acted decisively in defending its national sovereignty and territorial integrity, it has entered the diplomatic process with a responsible approach to safeguard national interests and protect regional peace and security.”

 

The Qatari Prime Minister and Foreign Minister reaffirmed his country’s support for continued mediation efforts to end the war.
