WANA (Jun 15) – Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi and Saudi Arabian Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan held a telephone conversation on Monday afternoon to discuss key bilateral and regional developments.

 

During the call, the Iranian Foreign Minister briefed his Saudi counterpart on the provisions and latest developments surrounding the newly reached Islamabad Memorandum.

 

Araghchi pointed to the responsibility of the United States regarding the good-faith implementation of the memorandum’s clauses, while emphasizing the urgent necessity of a complete halt to the Israeli regime’s aggression against Lebanon.

 

The Iranian Foreign Minister also expressed his appreciation for Saudi Arabia’s constructive role in the ongoing diplomatic process aimed at ending the war set by the United States and the Israeli regime against Iran, as well as Riyadh’s efforts to bolster regional security. He underscored the vital importance of maintaining this diplomatic momentum.

 

Concluding their talks, both top diplomats emphasized the continuation of close consultations and diplomatic cooperation between Tehran and Riyadh regarding regional developments, stressing the need to reinforce all efforts to establish lasting peace in the region.
