WANA (Apr 13) – Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi spoke by phone with Saudi Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan on Monday to discuss the latest regional developments.

During the call, Araghchi detailed the regional situation following the ceasefire and the risks of “provocative U.S. actions,” while briefing his counterpart on the Iran-U.S. negotiations in Islamabad.

Araghchi emphasized Iran’s responsible approach and good faith in entering the talks, but noted: “Unfortunately, we witnessed the continuation of excessive demands by the American side, which resulted in a lack of progress.”

The Saudi Foreign Minister emphasized his country’s support for diplomatic efforts and expressed hope for a complete end to the war and the return of stability to the region.
