WANA (Aug 19) – Major General Ali Abdollahi, Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces, issued a stern warning to southern Persian Gulf states, cautioning that any facilitation of the U.S. military will be treated as direct participation in hostilities.

 

Addressing recent statements by regional countries claiming they do not permit the United States to use their territories against Iran, Abdollahi stated that nothing escapes Iran’s intelligence oversight.

 

He noted that the deployment of significant numbers of military aircraft—particularly refueling planes—at regional bases would be implausible without the knowledge and consent of the host nations.

 

In a direct warning, he emphasized that any assistance or logistical facilitation provided to the aggressor U.S. military will be considered equivalent to active military partnership with Washington’s forces.
