WANA (Feb 12) – Marking the 47th anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Revolution, Iran’s Naval Task Force 103—comprising units from the Iranian Army Navy and the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Navy—held a unity parade in the waters of the Indian Ocean, underscoring continued coordination between the two forces and their ongoing missions in international waters.

The ceremony was held aboard the forward base ship Makran, where participating vessels conducted an organized parade to demonstrate operational readiness. Task Force 103 includes the forward base ship Makran, the destroyer Shahid Nagdi from the Iranian Army Navy, and the vessel Shahid Mahdavi from the IRGC Navy. The task force is currently carrying out operational, training, and maritime security missions in open waters and across the Indian Ocean.

According to the report, the unity parade symbolized close cooperation and interoperability between Iran’s Army and IRGC in the maritime domain—an important message conveyed in one of the world’s most strategically significant maritime regions.

Commanders and sailors taking part in the ceremony commemorated the anniversary of the Islamic Revolution and reaffirmed their full readiness to defend Iran’s independence, security, and national interests at sea. They also emphasized that Iran’s sustained naval presence in international waters forms part of a broader strategy to safeguard maritime trade routes and respond to potential threats.

The event took place as Task Force 103 continues its deployment in the Indian Ocean, serving as a visible demonstration of Iran’s naval capabilities and the unity of its armed forces, while conveying a message of preparedness, stability, and defensive resolve to regional and international audiences.
