WANA (Jul 19) – The Iranian Army announced in a statement that two U.S. military facilities in Kuwait were targeted in drone strikes during the 16th phase of Operation Saeghe.

 

According to the statement, the operation was carried out in response to what it described as “repeated enemy aggression, the martyrdom of Iranian civilians, and attacks on bridges, infrastructure, and civilian areas.” The army said that loitering munitions targeted a U.S. ammunition depot at Camp Al-Adairi, as well as a Patriot radar system and an air surveillance radar at Ali Al Salem Air Base.

 

The statement described Camp Al-Adairi as one of the U.S. military’s key logistical and force reorganization hubs in the region, located approximately 104 kilometers from Iran’s border. It said that disrupting the base’s operations could significantly affect U.S. military support activities across the region.

Ali Al Salem Air Base was also identified as a major air transport hub and a primary gateway for the deployment of U.S. military forces into West Asia. According to the statement, the base plays a central role in the United States’ regional military strategy and logistics network.

 

As of now, neither U.S. nor Kuwaiti officials have issued an official response to the statement, and no information has been released regarding possible damage or casualties resulting from the reported strikes.
