WANA (Jul 15) – The Iranian Army announced that, in the early hours of today, it carried out the eighth phase of Operation Saegheh, claiming to have targeted the stationing area of U.S. F/A-18 fighter jets and military equipment facilities at Al-Azraq Air Base in Jordan for the second time.

 

According to the army’s statement, the operation was launched in response to what it described as repeated acts of aggression by the enemy. The statement said a new wave of drone strikes was carried out against U.S. military bases in the region, with explosive drones targeting the areas housing F/A-18 fighter jets and large equipment hangars at Al-Azraq Air Base.

 

The Iranian Army also emphasized that it remains committed to defending the country’s security and territorial integrity, stating that it will respond decisively to any threat.

 

The statement concluded by saying that Iran’s defensive capabilities are not intended to initiate war but are maintained to safeguard the country’s independence, security, and territorial integrity with unwavering determination.
