WANA (Jul 18) – The Public Relations Office of the Islamic Republic of Iran Army announced that, during the 14th phase of Operation Saegheh, the Army’s attack drones targeted U.S. military positions and infrastructure in the region.

 

According to the statement, the operation was carried out as part of the Iranian Army’s response targeting U.S. strategic positions, command-and-control centers, logistics infrastructure, and air defense systems.

 

During this phase of the operation, drone strikes targeted an ammunition depot used by U.S. forces at Al-Adiri Camp, headquarters buildings and ammunition storage facilities at Ali Al Salem Air Base, as well as several transportation bridges in Kuwait.

 

The statement described Al-Adiri Camp as one of the key support and force reorganization hubs for U.S. troops, while Ali Al Salem Air Base was identified as a major center for supporting and coordinating U.S. air operations in the Persian Gulf.

 

The operation also included drone strikes on fuel storage facilities at Azraq Air Base in Jordan. According to the statement, the base is regarded as one of the United States’ principal military facilities in West Asia due to its strategic location, military infrastructure, and the deployment of advanced equipment.

 

The statement concluded by emphasizing that Iran’s armed forces, relying on their defensive capabilities and the support of the Iranian people, remain prepared to confront any threat to the country’s national interests and security. It added that any action taken against Iran would be met with a decisive response.
