Iranian Army Helicopter Crashes Near Isfahan, Four Dead and One Injured
WANA (Feb 24) – A military helicopter belonging to the Iranian Armed Forces crashed near the city of Dorcheh in Isfahan province, killing four people and injuring one. Local officials said the crash was caused by a technical malfunction and is currently under judicial investigation.
Incident Details
On Tuesday morning, a helicopter from the army’s aviation unit crashed in the Dorcheh fruit and vegetable market area. According to Mansour Shisheh-Farsh, Director General of Crisis Management in Isfahan province, the helicopter experienced a technical failure during flight, leading to the crash.
The pilot and co-pilot were killed, and two market vendors also lost their lives, while another vendor was injured and taken to a hospital.
Emergency Response
Emergency teams, firefighters, and paramedics were immediately dispatched to the scene to extinguish fires and secure the area. The crash also caused damage to the market infrastructure.

Judicial Investigation
Asadollah Jafari, head of the Isfahan judiciary, announced that a legal case has been opened to investigate the cause of the crash. The public prosecutor of Khomeyni Shahr, accompanied by the provincial military prosecutor, visited the site and issued orders to conduct a full investigation.
He emphasized that the causes and factors leading to the crash are still under review, with final results to be announced after the investigation is completed.
Dorcheh is part of the central district of Khomeyni Shahr in Isfahan province, located approximately eight kilometers from the city center of Isfahan.
