WANA (Sep 02) – The Iranian Army announced that it had targeted radar installations and gathering points of US forces at the Sheikh Isa Air Base in Bahrain with large-scale kamikaze drone attacks during the 29th phase of its “Thunderbolt” operation.

 

According to the Army’s statement, the operation was carried out hours earlier in response to recent US attacks on southern areas of Iran. The statement described Sheikh Isa Air Base as one of the most significant and sensitive US military facilities in the Persian Gulf region, hosting key infrastructure for helicopter maintenance, drone components, and reconnaissance aircraft.

 

The Iranian Army also stated that its forces would continue responding to what it described as enemy actions, pledging a “broad and deterrent response” to the attacks.
