Iranian Army Launches Drone Attacks on US Troops in Bahrain
WANA (Jul 08) – The Army of the Islamic Republic of Iran announced on Wednesday that its attack drones have struck concentrations of hostile US forces in Bahrain in retaliation for earlier American airstrikes on southern Iran.
According to an official statement released by the Iranian Army’s media office on Wednesday morning, the operation targeted American forces stationed at Sheikh Isa Air Base in Bahrain.
The military declared that the operation was launched following aggressive US strikes on both military and civilian sites in southern Iran, which Tehran views as a direct violation of the standing 14-point ceasefire memorandum of understanding.
“The consequences of this blatant and repeated violation of the ceasefire lie entirely with the criminal United States,” the statement read, warning that all US military installations across the region are now considered legitimate targets for Iranian drone operations.
