Iranian Army Says It Targeted U.S. HIMARS Systems in Kuwait
WANA (Jul 21) – The Iranian Army announced that, during the 18th phase of Operation Saeghe, it targeted U.S. Army HIMARS missile systems stationed at Camp Arifjan in Kuwait with surface-to-surface missiles.
According to a statement released by the Army’s Public Relations Office, the strike was carried out by the Army Ground Force in response to recent U.S. missile attacks on parts of Iran.
The statement described HIMARS as a highly mobile rocket system designed for rapid deployment against ground targets, adding that striking these systems would weaken the enemy’s offensive and defensive capabilities and reduce its missile capacity in what it described as ongoing acts of aggression.
