WANA (Aug 31) – The Islamic Republic of Iran Army launched kamikaze drone attacks targeting U.S. helicopters and troops deployed at the Al Minhad Air Base in the United Arab Emirates, according to an official statement.

In a statement issued early today, the Public Relations Office of the Army said the operation was conducted in response to recent military aggression and in retaliation for the deaths of Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) personnel and Iranian civilians on Larak Island.

“Since early this morning, the Army of the Islamic Republic of Iran targeted the deployment sites of U.S. military helicopters and forces at Al Minhad Air Base in the UAE by launching dozens of kamikaze drones,” the statement read.

Al Minhad Air Base serves as a key foreign military hub for aerial transport and logistical support in the region.

Referring to the recent incident on Larak Island, the Army’s Public Relations Office emphasized that Iranian armed forces remain committed to securing the nation’s borders and removing foreign threats from the region, vowing continued retaliation against U.S. forces.
