Iranian Artist Wins Asia’s Most Popular Actor Award
WANA (Sep 11) – Naeem Salehi, an actor and director from Tonekabon, Iran, has won the award for Asia’s Most Popular Male Actor at the 3rd Asian Feature Film Festival in Cambodia.
Salehi received this honor for his performance in the film “Tell the Wind Too”.
The distinguished artist from Tonekabon, who also serves on the board of the Mazandaran Theater Association, was presented with the Golden Flower statuette and a certificate as Asia’s Most Popular Male Actor for his role in “Tell the Wind Too”, directed by Sina Khani.
This year’s festival featured hundreds of submissions from across Asia, with thirty films from countries including China, Malaysia, Indonesia, India, and Iran making it to the competition section. Two Iranian films were among the finalists.
Naeem Salehi, who is active not only as an actor but also as a director and instructor, earned this award for his debut performance in a feature-length film with “Tell the Wind Too”.
