Iranian Doctors Call for Global Medical Solidarity
WANA (Aug 25) – A group of Iranian doctors gathered this week to condemn Israel’s recent attacks on Gaza, voicing outrage over the destruction of hospitals and the killing of civilians. The medical professionals urged their counterparts around the world to stand against what they described as crimes against humanity.
“As medical staff, we have come to announce that we ask our colleagues in other countries to take action against these criminal acts of Israel, such as the destruction of hospitals and the killing of innocent women and children,” said Dr. Heidarazad, one of the participants. “We ask everyone to separate from this Zionist regime and defend the oppressed.”
The attack on Naaser Hospital during the previous day in Gaza has left doctors and patients in a desperate situation there. Already overwhelmed, the hospital was one of the few places people could turn to for treatment, and now much of it lies in ruins.
Also, with fresh medical aid cut off and supplies nearly gone, doctors are forced to treat the wounded with whatever little they have, while patients wait in crowded hallways, many without the care they urgently need, and this is what dragged doctors of Tehran to the streets today.

The gathering, held in Tehran, was filled with strong appeals for global action beyond simple statements of condemnation. “We, the medical staff, have gathered here to announce to the whole world that we protest against the genocide that is happening in Gaza,” said Dr. Khatami. He emphasized that “condemning is not enough. Something more must be done than condemning. We should not remain silent.”
Other doctors stressed the humanitarian dimension of the crisis, highlighting the severe impact of shortages in essential supplies. “Protecting the lives of people in every corner of the world is important,” said Dr. Sadegheen. “Take a look at Gaza City today and see that every day, children are being massacred due to bombing, lack of food, water, and medicine. Perhaps with this small step we are taking, consciences in the world will wake up. These steps will be added together, and soon the roots of oppression and tyranny, especially in Palestine and Gaza City, will be uprooted.”
Dr. Sadegheen also criticized Islamic countries for what he described as a lack of action. “Unfortunately, Islamic countries have acted very, very weakly. They are asleep,” he remarked.

At the end of their protest, the doctors repeated their call for urgent international medical support and real action to help ease the suffering in Gaza.
We all know war is a tragedy, but it is even worse when people are sick or hurt and cannot get help. When leaders choose cruelty over kindness and let innocent people suffer, it hurts us all. Denying care in times of need is not just wrong—it is a betrayal of our humanity.

Hidden Bases Among Homes: Israel’s Controversial Military Strategy
WANA (Aug 24) – Amid ongoing Middle East tensions, a troubling question has resurfaced: does the Israeli military deliberately place its command centers and sensitive infrastructure within civilian neighborhoods? If true, this would not only reshape military dynamics but also challenge the very boundaries of humanitarian law in war. Testimony from Within Israel Uri […]
