WANA (Jul 27) – The Iranian Embassy in Poland has issued a formal warning to Ukrainian leadership, stating that Iran reserves the right to respond to Ukrainian actions under the United Nations Charter.

 

In a post on X (formerly Twitter) directed at Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, the embassy alleged that Zelenskyy is attempting to draw Europe and NATO into a conflict with Iran, drawing parallels to tactics used by Israeli leadership.

 

The statement accused the Ukrainian president of overstepping his authority by meddling in Iran’s internal affairs and assisting in arming entities hostile to Iran during and following the 40-day conflict, warning that “Iran’s restraint is not endless.”

 

The statement follows remarks made by Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi, who informed that Ukraine had attacked an Iranian commercial vessel and killing a sailor in an action allegedly incited by Israel.

 

Araghchi noted that in discussions with EU Foreign Policy Chief Kaja Kallas and Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, he emphasized that the incident in Kyiv “cannot remain unanswered.”
