Iranian Films to Screen at India’s 56th International Film Festival
WANA (Nov 08) – The 56th International Film Festival of India will feature several films by Iranian filmmakers this year.
The festival, set to open on November 20 in Goa, will include “Raha” directed by Hesam Farahmand in the Debut Film Competition section.
In the UNICEF Competitive Section, “Almond Eyes” (international title: “K-Popper”), directed by Ebrahim Amini, will compete for the Gandhi Medal Award alongside other international entries.
Additionally, three Iranian films — “A Simple Accident” by Jafar Panahi, “Black Rabbit, White Rabbit” by Shahram Mokri, and “Woman and Child” by Saeed Roustaee — will be screened in the festival’s non-competitive sections.
The 56th International Film Festival of India will take place from November 20 to 28 on the island of Goa.
