WANA (Mar 27) – Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi held a telephone conversation with Nabih Berri, the Speaker of the Lebanese Parliament, to discuss the consequences of the military aggression by the United States and Israel against the Islamic Republic of Iran, as well as the widespread Israeli attacks against Lebanon.

 

Araghchi provided a report on the latest developments regarding the U.S.-Israeli aggression against Iran and the “legitimate and decisive responses” of the Iranian Armed Forces.

 

He praised the positions of the Lebanese Speaker in supporting Lebanon’s national unity and reaffirmed Iran’s support for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Lebanon.

 

Araghchi emphasized that strengthening internal cohesion is a necessity in the current sensitive situation to confront the conspiracies of foreign agents against the interests of Lebanese society.

 

The Speaker of the Lebanese Parliament provided details regarding the current status of Israeli attacks on Lebanon and the consequences of these actions.

 

He stated that the objective of these strikes is the destruction of Lebanon’s vital infrastructure and the forced displacement of Lebanese citizens from their regions.

 

During the call, both sides emphasized the importance of strengthening and developing relations between the two countries.
