WANA (Jun 28) – Following his attendance at the funeral for those who lost their lives in the recent Iran-Israel war, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi shared a message on Instagram emphasizing national pride, resistance, and the enduring legacy of the fallen.

“Iran is unfamiliar with the word ‘surrender,’ and this year, the cry of ‘Hayhat Minna al-Dhilla’ (Never to Humiliation) echoes louder than ever in Muharram,” he wrote.

Acknowledging the pain of loss, Araghchi noted that while the absence of the martyrs is heartbreaking, their memory and path live on in the hearts of the awakened, inspiring future generations to carry their torch.

He added that although facilities and structures may be damaged, they can be rebuilt — stronger and more glorious over time. “But the pride of a nation is more precious than anything,” he stated.

Referring to Iran’s resilience, he said: “Today, the people of Iran stood tall in heroic resistance against two nuclear-armed regimes, defending their honor and dignity. Now, they look to the future with greater pride and strength than ever.”

Araghchi described the past 12 days as a defining moment in Iran’s long history: “These days will shine like a jewel in the crown of Iran’s resistance. History will write: Iranians gave blood, not land; they gave their beloved ones, but never their dignity. Under a rain of bombs, they stood firm — and never surrendered.”

He concluded by reiterating: “Iran — my homeland, my very being — is a stranger to the word ‘surrender.’”
