WANA (Jun 21) – Following talks with European officials, Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi emphasized that Iran will not engage in any negotiations as long as Israeli aggression continues.

In a statement after concluding discussions with the foreign ministers of Germany, France, and the United Kingdom, as well as the European Union’s foreign policy chief in Geneva, Araghchi reiterated:

“The Zionist regime must stop its aggression and crimes. As long as these attacks continue, we will not negotiate with any party.”

Araghchi stressed the peaceful nature of Iran’s nuclear program and added: “The Islamic Republic of Iran will continue exercising its legitimate right to self-defense. We are concerned by the failure to condemn the horrific attacks by the Zionist regime.”

He reaffirmed that: “Iran’s nuclear program is peaceful and under the supervision of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).”

According to reports, he stated Iran supports continued dialogue with the European troika and the EU and is ready to meet again in the near future.

Highlighting Tehran’s openness to diplomacy under just conditions, Araghchi said: “Iran is ready to explore diplomatic paths once the aggression stops.” “Iran’s defensive capabilities are non-negotiable.”

In a formal statement issued at the end of the Geneva meeting, Araghchi outlined the following points:

1. Iran voiced serious concerns over the failure of the three European countries to condemn the Zionist regime’s aggression. He reaffirmed that Iran will resolutely continue exercising its legitimate right to self-defense to end and prevent further attacks.

The attack on Iran’s peaceful nuclear facilities was described as a grave crime and a flagrant violation of peremptory norms of international law. Iran expressed strong concern and criticism over the lack of condemnation from the three European nations and the EU.

3. Iran declared that once the aggression ceases and the aggressor is held accountable for its crimes, it is prepared to consider diplomatic options. Araghchi stated clearly that Iran’s defensive capabilities are not up for negotiation.

4. Iran welcomes and supports continued dialogue with the E3 and the EU and declared readiness for a future meeting.
