Iranian Foreign Minister Comments on NBC Report: ‘War Is Being Sold Daily’
WANA (Mar 25) – Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi reacted to an exclusive report by NBC News highlighting how U.S. war operations are presented to President Donald Trump.
In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Araqchi referenced Edward Bernays, a pioneer of mass persuasion who helped President Woodrow Wilson rally American public support for World War I, writing:
“More than a century later, little has changed—except that now, it seems, the war is being ‘sold’ not once, but daily, even to the president himself, through carefully curated videos.”
According to an exclusive NBC News report, since the start of the war, a daily video has been prepared for President Trump showing the most successful U.S. attacks over the previous 48 hours.
However, because these reports are selective, they do not provide a complete picture of the reality of the war and focus mainly on showcasing victories, as this approach is said to generate a stronger response from the president’s inner circle.
