WANA (Aug 24) – Seyed Abbas Araghchi, Iran’s Foreign Minister, left today, Sunday, at the head of a diplomatic delegation to Jeddah to participate in an extraordinary meeting of foreign ministers from the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC).

 

The meeting aims to address the humanitarian disaster in Gaza, coordinate the provision of immediate aid, and examine the legal and political dimensions of the Israeli regime’s intent for permanent occupation of Gaza.

 

Previously, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, in a letter addressed to Hissein Brahim Taha, Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, as well as Hakan Fidan and Faisal bin Farhan, the Foreign Ministers of Turkey and Saudi Arabia, had called for the urgent convening of an extraordinary meeting of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation to examine the humanitarian disaster in Gaza and coordinate the provision of urgent aid, as well as to assess the legal and political dimensions of the Israeli regime’s intention for the permanent occupation of Gaza.
