WANA (Feb 06) – The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran has departed for Doha, the capital of Qatar, to take part in the 17th Al Jazeera Forum.

 

According to official reports, Seyed Abbas Araghchi, Iran’s Foreign Minister, left for Doha on Friday evening, February 6, 2026, after being invited as a special guest to attend the 17th edition of the Al Jazeera Forum.

 

The forum is regarded as one of the prominent intellectual and media gatherings in the Arab world, bringing together political, diplomatic, and media figures from across the region and beyond.

 

During the visit, the Iranian foreign minister is scheduled to deliver a speech at the forum on Saturday, in which he is expected to outline Iran’s views on key regional and international developments.

 

Araghchi will also hold talks with Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Qatar. The meeting is aimed at reviewing bilateral relations between Tehran and Doha, as well as discussing regional issues of mutual interest.
