Iran’s kabaddi teams win Asian runner-up title
WANA (Oct 23) – The Iranian girls’ kabaddi team claimed the runner-up title at the 2025 Asian Youth Games in Bahrain after falling to India in the final match.
On Thursday, October 23, the Iranian team faced India in the championship round and lost with a score of 75–21, securing the silver medal.
Earlier in the tournament, Iran had achieved victories over Thailand, Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh, but had also suffered a defeat to India during the group stage.
Meanwhile, the Iranian boys’ kabaddi team lost to India 35–32 in the final of the kabaddi event at the Asian Youth Games, finishing as runners-up.
