Iranian Guards Issued Warning to Foreign Tanker in Persian Gulf
WANA (Nov 22) – Border guards from Iran’s Minab Maritime Base, Hormozgan, have identified and warned a large foreign oil tanker operating without proper identification in the waters of the Persian Gulf.
According to officials, the Minab patrol units detected the unidentified vessel during a routine mission. After issuing repeated warnings, the crew and captain were compelled to raise the flag of the Islamic Republic of Iran alongside the flag of the vessel’s country of origin.
