WANA (Jun 10) – Ebrahim Rezaei, spokesperson for the Iranian Parliament’s National Security and Foreign Policy Commission, said in a post on X that “Iran’s territorial waters expanded during the 40-day war, and in the next war, Iran’s land territory may expand as well.”

 

Rezaei made the remark without providing further details, appearing to refer to recent regional developments and the potential consequences of any future military conflict. In a separate post, he also stressed that the Islamic Republic is better prepared than before to confront potential threats.

 

Speaking during a televised program, the senior lawmaker further stated: “We will not abandon Lebanon. The enemy must either accept our demands at the negotiating table or face us on the battlefield.”

 

His comments came as U.S. President Donald Trump once again highlighted the ongoing negotiations between Tehran and Washington while simultaneously raising the possibility of military action against Iran.

 

Speaking to reporters at the White House, Trump claimed that the two sides were close to reaching an agreement but alleged that Iran was delaying its finalization. Asked about the possibility of strikes on Iranian infrastructure, including power plants and bridges, Trump said such options remained on the table, though he declined to provide additional details.

 

The U.S. president also indicated that further military measures against Iran could be considered if necessary.
