Iranian Lawmaker Says Intelligence Capabilities Undermined Enemy Strategy
WANA (Jul 21) – Iranian lawmaker Esmail Kowsari stated in a recent interview that the Islamic Republic’s intelligence capabilities have played a decisive role in military operations, disrupting enemy calculations and enabling precise targeting.
Kowsari, a member of the Iranian Parliament’s National Security and Foreign Policy Commission, emphasized that access to real-time, up-to-date intelligence has allowed armed forces to effectively strike designated military assets and centers using missiles and drones, resulting in higher-than-expected opponent casualties.
He noted that adversaries had failed to anticipate such capabilities, recalling that the late Supreme Leader always stressed building an Iranian power so formidable that enemies would not dare commit acts of aggression.
Kowsari asserted that opposing forces relied on faulty intelligence, falsely believing they could collapse the Iranian political system within days. He stated that this inaccurate information has left enemy forces trapped in a quagmire with no viable way out.
The lawmaker concluded by noting that U.S. military and political analysts are now publicly acknowledging that President Trump committed his greatest mistake by initiating the conflict, reiterating that flawed information inevitably leads to strategic failure.
