WANA (Jun 18) – Iran’s supreme Leader, Ayatollah Khamenei, delivered a televised message stating: The Iranian nation will never surrender, and any U.S. military action will be met with irreparable damage.

At the beginning of his speech, the Leader of the Islamic Revolution praised the massive movement of the Iranian nation in the Ghadir Day marches, as well as recent gatherings and demonstrations, especially those following Friday prayers.

He also referred to the meaningful and admirable act of the female television presenter in response to the enemy’s attack, stating: “Saying Takbir and displaying the sign of the nation’s strength to the entire world was a historic and extremely valuable event.”

Ayatollah Khamenei, referring to the timing of the “foolish and malicious assault by the Zionist regime”, added: “This incident occurred at a time when our officials were engaged in indirect negotiations with the United States, and there was no indication of any harsh or military action from Iran.”

He emphasized: “From the outset, it was suspected that the United States may have had a hand in this malicious act by the Zionist regime — a suspicion that grows stronger day by day with the recent statements from American officials.”

The Leader stressed that: “The Iranian nation stands firmly against an imposed war, an imposed peace, or any form of imposition. I expect thinkers, writers, and especially those connected to global public opinion to explain these truths and not allow the enemy to distort reality through deceptive propaganda.”

Ayatollah Khamenei stated that: “The Zionist enemy has committed a grave mistake and a major crime. This enemy must be punished — and is being punished. The punishment being carried out by the Iranian nation and its armed forces, and those planned for the future, is a severe one, and it has already weakened the enemy.”

He further stressed: “The fact that their American allies are stepping in is itself a sign of the Zionist regime’s weakness and incapability.”

Referring to the U.S. President’s offensive and threatening remarks, the Leader added: “The President of the United States, in unacceptable statements, has explicitly asked the Iranian nation to surrender. But we say: First, issue threats to those who are afraid of threats — while the Iranian nation believes in the noble verse: ‘Do not weaken or grieve, for you will be superior if you are [true] believers’ — and threats have never affected the mindset or behavior of the Iranian nation.”

Ayatollah Khamenei continued: “Secondly, telling the Iranian nation to surrender is not a rational statement. Those with intellect, who know this nation and its history, would never utter such a thing — because the Iranian nation is not one that surrenders or yields to aggression by anyone.”

He pointed out: “The Americans and those familiar with the politics of this region know well that U.S. involvement in this issue will undoubtedly be to their detriment and will result in harm — a harm far greater than anything that might be inflicted on Iran.”

The Leader asserted: “Any military intervention by the United States in this arena will undoubtedly result in irreparable damage to them.”

Ayatollah Khamenei, once again advising the dear Iranian nation to hold fast to the Quranic verse ‘Do not weaken or grieve, for you will be superior if you are [true] believers’, stated:

“Continue life with strength, especially those responsible for public services and in contact with the people, and those involved in propagation and explanation. Carry out your duties with strength and place your trust in Almighty God, for ‘Victory is only from Allah, the Almighty, the Wise.'”

He concluded with an emphasis: “Almighty God will certainly and undoubtedly grant victory to the Iranian nation, to the truth, and to righteousness.”
