WANA (Jun 05) – The Public Relations Office of the Army announced that the Islamic Republic of Iran Navy (Nedaja) has fired warning missiles and deployed attack drones against U.S. destroyers, forcing them to retreat from the Gulf of Oman toward the Indian Ocean.

 

According to the military statement, the operation was conducted in continuation of efforts to counter “malign activities, disruptions, and the hijacking of commercial vessels and oil tankers by the terrorist U.S. Navy.”

 

Warning Shots Force U.S. Warships to Retreat

The Iranian military reported that following warning shots from Ghadir missiles and Nedaja’s new Shahid Dana attack drones, the “aggressor” destroyers DDG-103 and DDG-87 left the Gulf of Oman and headed toward the Indian Ocean.

 

Multiple Ships Forced to Withdraw

The statement added that following this operation and those of previous days, the amphibious assault ship Tripoli was also forced to leave the Gulf of Oman.

 

The military noted that these vessels, alongside the George H.W. Bush carrier group and the command center of the “terrorist navy,” had been acting as the source of disruptions and interference in regional maritime trade and security.

 

Warning Issued Regarding Long-Range Capabilities

The Operations Command and Control Center of the Army Navy emphasized the necessity for the “American-Zionist enemy” to cease maritime piracy and malign acts, issuing a final warning regarding their operational reach:

 

“Despite the expansion and distancing of the enemy’s warships out of the range of the missiles used today, longer-range missiles of this force will be utilized if necessary.”
