Iranian Official: Missile Launches Will Gradually Intensify
WANA (Apr 02) – An Iranian political-security official has said that Tehran’s missile operations will escalate in a gradual and calculated manner, stressing that the pace of launches will increase as part of a phased strategy.
Speaking to Al Mayadeen, the official said Iran’s missile strikes are set to intensify in parallel with an expansion of operations by the Axis of Resistance against enemy interests across the region. According to him, this trend is expected to take on broader dimensions in the coming days.
Referring to Iran’s operational objectives, the official said Tehran would not miss any opportunity to destroy the enemy’s radar and air defense infrastructure. He added that strikes targeting a wide range of the enemy’s military infrastructure would continue steadily and without interruption until full deterrence is achieved.
The Iranian official also underscored the country’s military capabilities, saying Iran’s arsenal is highly advanced and powerful and capable of surprising the enemy at different stages of the confrontation. He added that lessons learned from the “12-day war” have also been incorporated into the planning and execution of the operations.
He further warned that any attack on Iran’s infrastructure would be met with severe and unexpected retaliation, stating that targeting Iranian facilities and infrastructure would come at a heavy cost.
In another part of his remarks, the official emphasized that Iran has the capacity to sustain a prolonged confrontation and would respond forcefully and without hesitation if tensions continue. He added that the initiative in this confrontation remains in Tehran’s hands.
