Iranian Official: We Are Ready to Use New Weapons
WANA (May 21) – An Iranian military source told Russia’s state news agency RIA Novosti that Iran would deploy new weaponry in the event of another U.S. attack.
Speaking early Thursday, the unnamed Iranian official said the Islamic Republic possesses advanced weapons that have not yet been used in confrontations with the United States or Israel.
Responding to a question from a RIA Novosti reporter about Iran’s preparedness for a possible renewed U.S. strike, the source said: “We have developed advanced weapons domestically that have not yet been used on the battlefield and, in fact, remain untested.”
The official added that Iran has the necessary capabilities to repel any attack, stating: “In terms of equipment and defensive capabilities, we are not experiencing any shortages that would prevent us from defending our country. This time, we do not intend to act with restraint.”
