WANA (Jul 31) – Senior Iranian officials have strongly condemned what they described as a “criminal” U.S. attack on residential homes in Qeshm Island, claiming the strike killed several civilians, including a taxi driver, his wife, and their two-year-old son.

 

Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei said the overnight attack destroyed multiple homes and resulted in the deaths of Qaisar Jafari, his wife Zahra Jafari, and their young child, Sina. He described the incident as a crime that “breaks the heart of every conscientious human being.”

 

Baghaei argued that such attacks, along with sanctions and threats, would not weaken Iran but instead strengthen national unity and determination.

 

“With every explosion, every crime, every sanction, every threat, and with the killing of every child, you only make Iranians more determined and united in defending their homeland,” he said.

 

He further claimed that the attack resembled the tactics of terrorist groups and asserted that actions carried out under the slogan of “peace through strength” would never bring legitimacy or credibility.

 

Separately, Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf also condemned the reported strike, describing it as a continuation of previous attacks on civilian residential areas.

 

“The United States stains its hands with a new crime every day,” Ghalibaf said. “Americans have become accustomed to compensating for the blows they receive on the battlefield by shedding the blood of innocent people. They will pay the price.”
