Iranian Olympic Rower Wins Gold at Asian Championships
WANA (Oct 19) – On the second day of the Asian Rowing Championships finals in Vietnam, Iran secured another gold medal.
Fatemeh Mojallal claimed the top spot in the women’s single sculls heavyweight event, bringing home the gold for Iran.
Mojallal had previously represented Iran at the Paris Olympics.
Iran had already won one gold and two bronze medals on the first day of the competition.
In the women’s lightweight single sculls final, Zeinab Norouzi clocked a time of 8:24.75 to earn a silver medal. The gold medal in this category went to Hong Kong, while Kazakhstan finished third.
