WANA (Oct 04) – Iranian shot putter Yasin Khosravi has once again made history. With an outstanding throw of 16.60 meters, he not only claimed the gold medal in the F57 shot put event at the World Para Athletics Championships but also set a new world record.

Khosravi competed against nine athletes from Uzbekistan, India (three participants), Finland, Saudi Arabia, Brazil, Russia, and Azerbaijan. His best throw of 16.60 meters shattered his own previous world record by 59 centimeters, securing him the top spot on the podium.

The Iranian athlete’s dominance was remarkable — all six of his throws surpassed those of every other competitor. The runner-up from Brazil trailed behind by a significant 1.78 meters.

Khosravi, who also won gold at the Paris Paralympic Games, has once again proven himself as one of the most exceptional figures in para-athletics worldwide.
