WANA (Sep 07) – Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian sent a message of congratulations to North Korean leader Kim Jong Un on the occasion of the anniversary of the founding of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, reaffirming Tehran’s commitment to strengthening bilateral ties.

According to North Korea’s state news agency, Kim Jong Un received the message marking the September 9 National Day. In his statement, Pezeshkian expressed confidence that relations between the two nations will continue to expand and deepen, thanks to the mutual determination of their leaders.

The Iranian president also wished Kim Jong Un health and success in his duties, and conveyed hopes for prosperity and well-being for the people of North Korea. North Korea celebrates the founding of the DPRK each year on September 9.

The message comes shortly after the leaders of Iran, North Korea, and Russia participated in a military parade in Beijing marking the 80th anniversary of the victory in World War II – an event widely viewed as a show of solidarity among nations challenging Western dominance and advocating for a multipolar world order.
