WANA (Sep 09) – Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, in a Tuesday night phone call with Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the Emir of Qatar, strongly condemned Israel’s assault on Qatar and reaffirmed the Islamic Republic’s full support and solidarity with the country.

Pezeshkian stated: “The Islamic Republic of Iran stands alongside our brothers in Qatar and will take any action necessary to support this close neighbor and friend.” He added that unfortunately, Israel respects no recognized international framework or global legal norms, and its conduct is carried out with the backing of the United States.

He stressed that “under the pretext of defending its security, Israel has disrupted the security, stability, and peace of the entire region and spares no crime. Islamic countries must, with a unified and coordinated stance, both in word and in action, strongly and effectively condemn this aggression and Israel’s blatant crimes, so that this criminal regime will not dare to repeat or continue such behavior.”

Qatari Emir: Netanyahu Recognizes No Limits to His Crimes

For his part, Sheikh Tamim expressed gratitude for the Iranian president’s call, saying: “As you mentioned, the criminal Netanyahu recognizes no boundaries to his crimes. Unfortunately, he attacks and bombs wherever he wants, however he wants, without facing any obstacle.”

The Emir emphasized that regional countries must adopt a unified stance toward Israel’s crimes. He revealed that “Hamas officials were reviewing the U.S. President’s proposed ceasefire plan, and in our consultations with them, they had indicated their intention to respond positively to the plan. Tragically, Israel attacked that very meeting.”

Sheikh Tamim expressed hope that communication between Iran, Qatar, and other Islamic countries would continue in the coming days so that through cooperation and collective efforts, effective action could be taken to stop Israel’s crimes.
