WANA (Aug 17) – Iran’s robotics delegation secured remarkable success at the 2025 FIRA RoboWorld Cup & Summit in South Korea, earning 5 championship titles, 4 runner-up positions, and 2 third-place finishes.

 

The 30th edition of the FIRA World Robotics and Artificial Intelligence Championships was held in Busan, South Korea, with the participation of top teams from around the globe. Iranian student and school teams showcased their scientific and technical capabilities on the international stage by winning multiple prestigious awards.

 

In this year’s competition, Iranian representatives achieved outstanding results across various leagues and categories, demonstrating their high level of knowledge, creativity, and technical skill.

 

Among the highlights were championships won by:

 

  • Negarash Rastajo Team in the High School Speed Aerial Robotics League,
  • Salam Dibaji Robotics Team in the Under-19 Student Sports Robotics League,
  • Hidas Team in the Adult Autonomous Vehicle Urban Challenge,
  • Iranian teams in the Innovation & Business League in both the adult and under-14 age groups.

 

In addition, Iranian teams claimed several second- and third-place finishes in categories such as autonomous vehicles, innovation & business, and student sports robotics leagues.

 

The FIRA 2025 competition, held alongside an international symposium on the latest advancements in robotics and artificial intelligence, hosted hundreds of teams from various countries. In a dynamic scientific and competitive atmosphere, participants introduced cutting-edge innovations and technologies in the field.
