Iranian Spokesperson Warns U.S. to Expect $6 Gasoline
WANA (May 25) – The spokesperson for the Iranian Parliament’s National Security and Foreign Policy Committee, Ebrahim Rezaei, has issued a stern warning to Washington, stating that continued political posturing will severely impact U.S. domestic energy markets.
In a statement shared on social media, Rezaei dismissed recent threats from the U.S. administration, signaling that Tehran is prepared to match diplomatic maneuvers with decisive countermeasures.
“During the military war, our tactic was an eye for an eye; in the diplomatic war, it is action for action,” Rezaei stated. “Do not believe the bluffing of a defeated president—time is working against the Americans.”
“Iran Will Not Yield to Coercion”
The spokesperson emphasized that Iran will not back down under economic or military pressure, explicitly tying U.S. domestic stability—particularly fuel prices—to Washington’s stance in potential negotiations.
“If they want an agreement, they must negotiate,” Rezaei added. “If they want to persist with bluffs and posturing, they can wait until the cows come home while gas hits $6. Iran will not yield to force and threats.”
