Iranian Tanker Enters Territorial Waters Under Iran’s Army Escort
WANA (Apr 21) – The Iranian oil tanker “Cilly City” successfully entered Iran’s territorial waters last night and is now anchored at a southern port, following a high-stakes operation supported by the Islamic Republic of Iran Navy.
Defying Threats in the Arabian Sea
The Iranian Army issued a statement confirming that the vessel reached safety despite “numerous warnings and threats” from U.S. naval forces.
According to the report, the tanker was provided with full operational protection by the Iranian Navy. The vessel navigated through the Arabian Sea before crossing into sovereign Iranian waters.
As of a few hours ago, the tanker has been stationed at a designated anchorage in one of Iran’s southern ports.
Security Guaranteed
The Army emphasized that the mission was completed in “full security,” framing the successful arrival as a defiance of the U.S. naval presence in the region.
