Iranian Teen Wins Silver Medal at Japan’s “Hikari” Painting Contest
WANA (Sep 08) – Marziyeh Shafiei, a 15-year-old member of the Institute for the Intellectual Development of Children and Young Adults in Bashrouyeh, Iran, has won the Silver Medal at the International Hikari Painting Competition in Japan.
The 32nd edition of the International Children’s Painting Competition, organized by the Hikari Association in Japan in 2025, was held under the theme “Personality, Feelings, Emotions, Thoughts, and Beliefs.” From a total of 11,479 submissions from 68 countries, the winners were selected and announced.
With her creative artwork, Shafiei earned the Silver Medal (Certificate of Silver Award) in this year’s contest.
From Iran, 46 artworks were submitted by the Institute for the Intellectual Development of Children and Young Adults, and the recognition of Iranian teenagers among the winners highlights the talent and artistic potential of the younger generation.
