WANA (Aug 13) – Iranian weightlifters delivered a stellar performance in the women’s 77kg category at the Asian Youth and Junior Weightlifting Championships, sweeping top honors and securing multiple medals.

 

Anahita Zarei claimed overall victory in the youth 77kg division after earning a bronze medal in the snatch alongside gold medals in both the clean & jerk and total lift.

 

Expanding her medal tally, Zarei also captured a silver medal in the junior division clean & jerk competition.

 

Her teammate, Nasim Ghasemi, capped off a dominant showing for Iran in the same category by taking the youth gold medal in the snatch, followed by silver medals in both the clean & jerk and total lift.
