Iran’s 11-year-old Tennis Player Repeats Asian Hopes Victory
WANA (Aug 04) – Yasin Shoari, Iran’s promising young table tennis player, has clinched the Asian Hopes Championship title for the second consecutive year, showcasing an outstanding performance with nine straight victories.
The 11-year-old athlete, Iran’s sole male representative in the tournament, once again raised the Iranian flag atop Asia by repeating his championship triumph from last year.
In a tense semifinal match, Shoari overcame a tough Malaysian opponent to secure his spot in the final, where he went on to defeat Japan’s Rikuta Ari, claiming the gold medal.
Shoari was coached by Heshmatollah Sharifi throughout the tournament.
