Iran’s 16-Year-Old Table Tennis Prodigy Makes History
WANA (Oct 29) – Beniyamin Faraji, a 16-year-old rising star of Iranian table tennis, made history after defeating his South Korean opponent 3–0 to reach the semifinals of the Asian Youth Championships in Bahrain — securing at least a bronze medal and marking Iran’s first-ever individual medal in youth and junior table tennis at the continental level.
Faraji, whose fearless play and sharp focus have drawn widespread attention, will compete in the semifinals tomorrow for a spot in the final.
