Iran’s Armed Forces Responded Powerfully to Aggressors
WANA (Jul 08) – The Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces, Major General Seyed Abdolrahim Mousavi, stated in a phone conversation with Qatar’s Deputy Prime Minister for Defence Affairs that Iran’s armed forces stood firmly against bullying and responded with full force to the aggressors.
In the telephone call, Khalid bin Mohammed Al Attiyah, Qatar’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defence Affairs, spoke with Major General Mousavi regarding recent regional developments.
At the beginning of the conversation, Major General Mousavi described Qatar as a friendly nation with strong political ties to Iran. He said:
“I must thank the Qatari government for its valuable stance in condemning the aggressors who violated Iran’s sovereignty. Qatar has also been among the countries that have firmly supported the struggles of the oppressed Palestinian people.”
He added that the righteousness of the Islamic Republic of Iran in this imposed 12-day war had been proven to the world, and that Muslims, Islamic governments, and freedom-seekers globally showed strong support for Iran’s position. He emphasised:
“It became clear to the world that America and the Zionist regime adhere to no international principles or norms.”
Major General Mousavi further noted that during the 12-day conflict, the United States provided full intelligence and logistical support to the Israeli regime and spared no effort in assisting its operations against Iran’s missile and drone attacks. He stressed:
“The armed forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran stood against bullying with all their might and responded to the aggressors with full power.”
In response, Khalid bin Mohammed Al Attiyah expressed condolences for the “martyrdom” of General Bagheri and other martyred commanders. He reaffirmed:
“From the very beginning, Qatar condemned Israel’s aggression against the Islamic Republic of Iran. We informed all parties that Qatar would not allow its airspace or territory to be used for warfare. Qatar has always sought resolution through dialogue and diplomacy.”
At the conclusion of the call, both sides discussed the trajectory of bilateral military and defence relations and stressed the need to further develop these ties.
