WANA (Mar 29) – The Army of the Islamic Republic of Iran has issued an official statement strongly condemning the drone attack on the residence of the President of the Iraqi Kurdistan Region in Duhok.

The military described the assault as an operation carried out by the “terrorist mafia ruling the occupied territories” under a “conspiracy by the criminal United States.”

According to the official communique, this drone strike constitutes a flagrant violation of the principles and rules of international law and a direct affront to the national security of the Iraqi Kurdistan Region.

The Army further characterized the move as a continuation of the “malice and wickedness” of global arrogance and the “sinister Zionist regime” against both regional and international peace and security.

The statement emphasized that the “sinister American-Zionist combination” represents a dangerous threat to global peace, showing a total disregard for international regulations.

Consequently, the Iranian Army called upon the United Nations Security Council to fulfill its legal mandate by confronting the ongoing terrorist threats and acts of aggression posed by the United States and the “baseless Zionist regime.”

Concluding the announcement, the Army of the Islamic Republic of Iran formally denounced the “aggressive, criminal, and hateful” act.

It reaffirmed its “firm will and resolute determination” to defend the security of Islamic Iran—which it views as the foundation for regional security—while standing firmly against the crimes of its American and Israeli adversaries.
