Iran’s Caretaker Defense Minister Responds to Trump’s Remarks on Strait of Hormuz
WANA (Aug 23) – Iran’s caretaker defense minister has responded to U.S. President Donald Trump’s remarks referring to the Strait of Hormuz as U.S. territory, saying: “Trump talks too much.”
Brig. Gen. Seyed Majid Ibn al-Reza, Iran’s caretaker minister of defense and armed forces logistics, was asked whether the country was concerned about threats and an economic blockade.
“We rely on Iranian youth and Iranian knowledge, and God willing, we will overcome these circumstances,” he said.
Responding to Trump’s description of the Strait of Hormuz as U.S. territory, Ibn al-Reza added: “Trump talks too much.”
