Iran’s Daily Oil Output Rises by 3,000 Barrels
WANA (Sep 15) – The CEO of Petropars Group, Hamidreza Saqafi, announced that the launch of Well Fahliyan No. 52 at the South Azadegan oil field has added 3,000 barrels per day to the country’s output, raising the field’s total production capacity to 61,900 barrels per day.
Hamidreza Saqafi said that with the commissioning of this new well on September 9, 2025, the number of operational wells developed by Petropars in South Azadegan has reached 37. He noted that the move is in line with the Oil Ministry’s broader strategy to expand shared fields and enhance crude oil recovery rates.
Highlighting the significance of the achievement, Saqafi added: “Reaching this new production capacity at South Azadegan is the result of the efforts of Iranian specialists and reflects the ministry’s policies for developing joint fields and boosting national production capacity.”
Ebrahim Nari, project manager for the South Azadegan field at Petropars, further explained that the completion of the well used modern engineering methods and advanced equipment, which improved reservoir conditions and stabilized production flow.
Earlier this year, the launch of two additional wells at South Azadegan had already increased daily output by 8,000 barrels, bringing the field’s production to nearly 59,000 barrels per day.
